Information and Links on these pages

The information on these pages is (will be) a synthesis of primary research and/or common knowledge (based on primary research). You can obtain this information from Wikipedia (but that is prone to errors, though it is a good quick reference), or from the primary research articles (which you will not come across or even read unless you specialize in that field or are curious), or from tertiary sources (such as magazines, or over a drunken banter). While postings here cannot be expected to be more authoritative than primary research, the effort will be made. Every effort will be made to post atleast once a week. It is expected that growth of postings will potentially be exponential; having begun the postings at 3 billion years ago, it will be a while to catch up with the present (quite alot has happened in that while). The thesis here is to exemplify the layers of our knowledge and behaviour, thus topics ranging from biology, psychology, economics, etc... will be discussed.

The layers of life, or rather knowledge

All of life has a common base. And we understand life through the layers of knowledge accumulated over the ages. As long as we realize that there is no single answer to the questions of life, but the evidence and facts are laid out before us to make our own decisions.

All the knowledge and accumulated wisdom of the ages can be explained in a common and ancient language, a language that will be spoken by future civilizations and civilizations of the past, on Earth and beyond – mathematics. Mathematics in itself is not a science, rather it’s the language used to explain physical, chemical and biological phenomena. In the hierarchy of knowledge, resting on this mathematical base are concepts of physics and almost at the same level are molecules of chemistry that interact on the principles of chemistry and physics. Finally comes Biology. Biology is the result of an extremely rare interaction of specific molecules under extremely rare conditions in the universe. Biology as we know it is atleast 3 billion years old and has resulted in tremendous diversities of life through out the ages upto today. So is that all there is to the fundamental layers of knowledge and life ? Did we forget that once biology reaches the most advanced levels of evolution known, that it will start having a mind of its own, a conscious thought – and thus we come to the science of Behaviour and specifically Psychology.

The Full Circle

Welcome to 'the full circle'. On this tour through our world, yours and ours, we shall explore various items that will take us a full circle. On close examination you will actually observe that it forms a web, a complex web; just like with a spider's web you will have to step back to see the full circle.

You, the reader, are welcome to pose questions. Every question and its answers will form strands of the web and ultimately the full circle. We will begin with a thread, and explore its many ramifications and follow its following connections. It may be a while, quite a while before we can come a full circle.
